Coats for Kids
The Student Council, working in collaboration with Anton's Cleaners,
will be continuing the Coats for Kids drive through December. We are
collecting quality winter coats for children, adults and babies. As you
clean out your closets, consider donating warm winter jackets and coats
and ski jackets that are of good quality and are gently used. After
they are cleaned by Anton's they are distributed by community agencies
to those in need.

The Harvest Festival=20
This year Sanborn will celebrate its 30th Annual Harvest Festival. For
those of you who are new to Sanborn, this tradition is a school-wide
endeavor that reaches out to the senior citizens in Andover. Last year,
the Sanborn community, filled and delivered 250 gift bags to our senior
citizens. Each grade will be making an item for this gift bag as well
as being asked to donate a food item to be included. This year's theme
is "Our Journey To Success Through Giving". This event is a wonderful
opportunity for our children to see the impact of reaching out to
others. =20
An email outlining each grade's contribution will follow shortly. We
will also need several volunteers to help sort these items and prepare
them to be packaged for the gift bags. If you can help, please contact
Kandie Hale at moehale at comcast.net
<file:///C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\pbarrett\Desktop\moehale@comcast.

United Scrip Gift Card Opportunity
In one quick blow, knock out the majority of your holiday shopping with
the PTO's Scrip Gift Card program. Packets go home this week. Return
your order for gift cards to all the places you normally shop and
dine-and for all those gifts on your list. Sanborn's PTO receives a
percentage of every gift card purchase.=20
=20
Look for your order form to come home in the backpack and return your
form the same way (or to the office) by November 12. Cards will come
home November 24, with plenty of time before the holidays. Use the
cards to purchase your holiday gifts and to prepare for the holiday
season of entertaining or to give directly as gifts. We can benefit
ourselves and the school at the same time! Please contact Tracy
McGovern at mcgovernzoo at aol.com with any questions.
