Thanksgiving Recess
School closes tomorrow, Wednesday, November 21 at 11:45 A.M. for
Thanksgiving recess and will reopen on Monday, November 26th. Best
wishes to all of you and your families for a happy and healthy
Thanksgiving!
Harvest Festival
Harvest Festival was a huge success! Thanks to all of you for your
generous donations to the gift baskets and to all of the fifth grade
students and the parents who participated in the deliveries last Friday.
We culminated Harvest Festival this morning with an assembly entitled,
"Be Somebody Artistic". Thanks to Kandie Hale and Jane Miller for doing
a fabulous job chairing this year's Harvest Festival and to Tracy
Callahan for all of her hard work and support of this wonderful Sanborn
tradition.
Turkeys4America
The Sanborn School Community collected $1,316 this year for
Turkeys4America and the Greater Boston Food Bank. Great job and thanks
to all for your generosity!
Last Week for Bicycles
This is the last week until spring that bicycles may be ridden to
school. A notice will come out from the office in the spring letting
the children know when they are able to start riding again.
It's Getting Cold Outside
With the snow today, we are reminded that winter is fast approaching.
The children do go out to recess whenever the temperature is twenty
degrees or higher. Please be sure your children come to school dressed
to go outside at recess with hats and gloves.
Coats for Kids
The Sanborn Student Council in collaboration with Anton's Cleaners is
sponsoring "Coats for KIDS". We are seeking donations of quality winter
coats for babies, children, and adults. Coats will be cleaned by
Anton's Cleaners and distributed by community agencies to those in need.
Donations may be brought to the Sanborn School foyer anytime through
January 15.
