Annual School Barbecue

Our annual cookout will be held on Friday, June 13th.  If you have not
already done so, please be sure to return the bottom portion of the
flyer that you received, indicating your child's lunch choice.

 

The School Store is Closed Until September

The School Store has closed for the year and will reopen in the fall.
Thanks to all of the Student Council members who worked at the store
this year.

 

Celebration of Learning

The 5th grade Celebration of Learning will be held on Thursday, June
19th at 9:30 A.M.

 

Last Day of School/Progress Reports

The last day of school for students will be Monday, June 23 and it will
be a half day.  Progress Reports will be issued that day.  If you child
will not be in school that day, his/her Progress Report will be
delivered to the office at the close of school.  Please make
arrangements to come in and pick up.  Progress Reports will not be
issued early.

Back-to-School Supply Kits

Brochures for ordering Back-To-School Supply Kits should be coming home
in your child's backpack.  Though the brochure also offers backpacks and
book covers for sale, Sanborn is not participating in that portion of
the program.  If you are ordering for more than one child, you may write
just one check, but please return a completed order form for each child.
Orders are due tomorrow, June 11.  Please email Tracy McGovern with any
questions at mcgovernzoo at aol.com.

 

Ice Cream Social

All are reminded that the PTO Ice Cream Social is Thursday evening from
6:30 - 8:00 P.M.  We hope to see you there!

 

 

FROM THE COMMUNITY

 

ARC of Greater Lawrence

The Arc of Greater Lawrence would like to meet with parents from the
Greater Lawrence area including towns of Andover, North Andover,
Methuen, and Lawrence to talk about needed services for families with
children and or young adults who have developmental and/or intellectual
disabilities. The Arc is in the process of reorganizing and would like
to reach out to families and try to provide important supports and
services such as: an after school program, community-based services,
workshops and supported employment.

 

This event will be held on June 11, 2008 from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at North
Andover High School.  We need to hear from you and what the needs of
your family are. Please find the time to come to this important meeting.

Directions: The meeting will be held in the North Andover High School

Thursday, June 12 ~ Grades 2 and 3 Field Day, 12:30 - 2:15 P.M.; Ice
Cream Social, 6:30 - 8:00 P.M.

 

Friday, June 13 ~ Flag Day Ceremony, 8:45 A.M.; School-wide Barbecue
(during lunch periods); Full-Day Kindergarten Field Trip to AHS; Grades
4 and 5 Field Day.

 

Tuesday, June 17 ~ Grade 4 Field Trip; Grade 5 Cedardale outing
(evening).

 

Wednesday, June 18 ~ Spinners Game (evening).

 

Thursday, June 19 ~ Grade 5 Celebration of Learning, 9:30 A.M.
