Dear Parents and Guardians:

For a variety of reasons, Dr. Claudia Bach, Superintendent of Schools,
has decided to accept a recommendation to extend the search for Dr.
Wood's successor.  Please know that the search team, composed of
dedicated teachers and parents, has worked diligently and thoughtfully
to carefully consider every applicant to date.  Having completed the
process, we felt it was in the best interests of the South School
community to re-open the search in order have more time to cultivate a
richer pool of candidates. Our human resource staff is now fully engaged
in achieving this goal.

We trust that you will understand that although this process may take a
little longer than hoped, we are fully dedicated to ensuring we find the
right person to lead the South School community.   As always, we will
keep you informed of all new developments.
