SCHOOL COMMITTEE OPEN FORUM

 

 

WHAT:        As part of the FY08 (2007-2008) budget planning process,
the School Committee and the School Administration is making numerous
efforts to solicit the input of parents and all citizens in setting
priorities for the budget with specific attention to the 5 year
rebuilding plan presented last year.  This open forum is the first
opportunity for you to learn about the budgeting process as well as to
express your views and concerns.

 

WHEN:   Tuesday, November 14, 2006

 

WHERE: West Middle School Auditorium

 

TIME:     7:00 pm

 

AGENDA:

A.	STATE OF OUR SCHOOLS: Overview of where we are with the 5 year
plan for rebuilding and advancing our schools.  Dr. Claudia Bach
B.	PRESENTATION OF REBUILDING PRIORITIES: Overview of feedback from
teachers and administrators.  Dr. Claudia Bach 
C.	PRELIMINARY REPORT ON FY08 BUDGET: Mr. Tony James
D.	COMMUNITY INPUT AND RESPONSE:

          What are your priorities for future rebuilding?

          Can you see the impact of this year's rebuilding in your
school?

          What do you think about our space needs?

          What is your feeling about moving forward with rebuilding and
advancing if the 

              town budget is tight?

          What are your feelings/impressions from last year's budget
process/Town 

              Meeting?

          Suggestions for improvement to communications with the
community during 

              the budget process.
