AWARD WINNING AUTHOR TO SPEAK AT ANDOVER PARENT TO PARENT EVENT
Psychologist Dr. Michael Bradley, author of the book Yes, Your Teen is
Crazy! will be the featured speaker at Wood Hill Middle School on
Monday, November 6, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. Join us for a free parent seminar
that will help parents cope with the often crazy teen years. Parent to
Parent and The Andover Bookstore will sponsor a book-signing by Dr.
Bradley immediately following the talk.
Dr. Bradley will offer a funny, scary and empowering session which will
include a Q and A session (which he refers to as "Quarrels and
Arguments"). Dr. Bradley's respect based philosophy is at the heart of
this presentation, one he has given to thousands of parents who are
seeking ways to communicate with their adolescent children.
Michael J. Bradley, Ed.D., has counseled adolescents and their parents
for 28 years and currently has a private practice in suburban
Philadelphia. Already a recognized specialist in adolescent behavior
and grief counseling, Dr. Bradley is in demand as a speaker and
facilitator. After September 11th, he was often called on to help
parents and teens come to terms with the tragic events of that day. Dr.
Bradley has appeared on over 200 radio and television shows, including
The Today Show. He has also been the subject of numerous newspaper and
magazine articles, including being called on to evaluate Ozzy Osbourne's
parenting skills (The Osbournes, MTV) for Rolling Stone (May 6, 2002).
Parent to Parent (P2P) offers free seminars on parenting as well as
workshops and education classes that focus on a variety of topics
addressing the needs of young children through the teenage years. P2P
was founded in 1991 and is supported by the PTOs of the Andover Public
Schools, in addition to St. Augustine's, Pike School and Andover
Montessori. For additional information contact Co-Presidents Karen
Kushner at 978-474-4389 or Elizabeth Wadman at 978-258-8890.
