                                Andover Health Education

 

Dear Parent/Guardian:

 

     I eagerly anticipate another year of health education at West
Elementary.  It is my pleasure as a health teacher to work with such a
dedicated group of children and adults.  

 

     Andover's health curriculum adheres to the Massachusetts Department
of Education guidelines in providing comprehensive lessons geared to
various ages, utilizing an array of educational strategies.  

 

     The curriculum will focus on the physical, emotional and social
aspects of health.  Below is a list of the topics your child will learn
about in each grade level:

As parents, you play a vital role in promoting your child's exposure to
a healthy lifestyle. I am extremely grateful for the input and support
