Notice to Parents
		Our new security system will be activated on Thursday,
September 21. As in the past, doors will be locked at 9:00 A.M., after
all students have arrived. However, door #1 near the office and door
#14, at the rear of the school, will no longer be left unlocked during
the day. These two doors will also be locked at 9:00 A.M. Visitors
wishing to gain access to the school will have to press a button on the
call boxes that are affixed to doors 1 & 14, identify themselves, and be
buzzed in. 
		Each visitor will then be instructed to come to the
office to sign in. Video cameras in the hallways will allow us to
monitor anyone who enters the building. All staff members have been
instructed not to open doors for anyone who is trying to enter the
building. Doing so would defeat the entire purpose of having the system.

		Please remember that the purpose of the new security
system is to help ensure the safety of all students and staff.
