[Apswel] Techsploration in January for Grade 5

Grade 5 students!!

 

We received a grant for Building Bridges to come back and do individual
workshops for Grade 5 students!!

 

Now You're Building workshops will allow our students to experiment with
beams and connectors to build trusses, towers, suspension bridges, and
arches. The students will work together in groups and using their
geometry skills they will solve stability problems in construction
design. Last month, during the Techsploration Structures show our
students saw how ancient Romans used math skills to keep trusses and
arches up. These workshops will allow them to experiment with wood
samples and figure out stability.

 

We do need a little more funding to make these 1:1 workshops happen.
Could you please send $3.00 into your child's homeroom teacher.
