Announces an upcoming event...

 

Building Blocks:  Developing Social Competency and Resilience

Each of us wants our children to have the ability to move through a
range of social situations successfully, and to possess a set of skills
that they can use with peers and adults.  In this presentation, we will
look at social competence and its dynamics from a child's point of view,
social problems faced by children, how to foster social interaction
skills, and methods for helping a child for whom social interactions
seem elusive or unsatisfying.  Please bring your questions, challenging
situations and frustrations.
