*	NEXT MONDAY F.A.B. (Fine Arts Block) Begins!!

All Grade 4 and 5 Students may choose if they want to participate in
band, orchestra or chorus. The chorus portion of the Fine Arts Block is
available to any fourth or fifth grade student. Forty-five minute
rehearsals will occur within the school day once a week on Mondays.  A
variety of music styles will include simple two-part songs, partner
songs, and rounds by composers of children's music, folk music, novelty
songs, and current popular music.   Simple choreography will accompany
some songs depending on the mood of the music.  A tie to other
disciplines such as visual arts will also be included.

Talk to your child about these options!!

 

(Grade 4 String Program is separate from orchestra and will be held
during Gr 4 lunch time -they will eat at an alternate time)

 

*	No school Thursday, Sept 13th

 

*	Playgrounds

We are now into the first full week of school and the children are doing
well!! I want to remind parents that for the safety of all our children,
no other adults other than school employees should be on the playground
during recess.

	sign-ups:    Monday, September 10, 2006,  6:30pm-8pm @ West
Elementary cafeteria
	meetings:   Monday nights,  7pm-8pm @ West Parish Church -
