[Apswel] Moving on

[West Elementary School Mailing List]

Dear Parents,

I did not want you to be surprised when you read this Sunday's Boston
Globe. If you read the Employment section, you will see posted the
position of West Elementary School Principal. After 16 at the helm, I am
moving on. I have been associated with West Elementary since 1980, when
I came here from Bancroft to teach sixth grade. I was appointed
assistant principal in 1987 and became principal in 1992. I have very
much enjoyed my time in each of these capacities. Having made this
announcement, I want you to know that I will remain deeply engaged in
every aspect of West Elementary life between now and June 30. Until my
actual retirement, my energies will be devoted to the members of the
West Elementary School community.
